Korean Air War Scenario - August 2005

Introduction:
As with Flying Tigers and Operation Torch, this scenario is a
limited size version of EAW with a substituted terrain,
plane skins and some screen graphics. It works best in Single
Missions and Quick Start modes.

OS
Tested and runs consistently at 1024 x 768 on XP Pro but
recommend disabling performance sapping applications
running in the background, such as virus -spyware scanners,
firewalls, screensavers and auto updaters.

EAW Notes
The [planes.dat] file has been edited to achieve the desired jet
and inline engine sounds for each aircraft in the different slots,
and the armament has been increased for most planes to .50cal,
20mm and 30mm to make dogfights and dust raising a little more
interesting.
If the [planes.dat] file gets overwritten or replaced,(ecapanel will do this,
and you'll know straight away, when you lose the jet engine sounds)
- there is a rescue [planes.dat] file included in the folder.
To fix, delete the (usually upper case) PLANES.DAT file from the game
folder, then COPY/PASTE the rescue (lower case) [planes.dat] file into
the game folder to restore the correct engine sounds and armament.
For this reason ecapanel has not been included with this scenario.

Additional
The Japanese speech pack has been included, for want of a
Korean/Chinese version.

A new Inflight Map of Korea and surrounding countries has been
added, but base orientation and icons are yet to be done.

A new Game Configuration Screen has been added.

New plane selection menus have been added.

There is an accompanying MS Frontpage .htm file
which displays the plane types and slot layout.

My thanks to all for your welcome advice and those
whose prior work I have employed.

Have fun in the early jet age.

cheers
